Diego Figueiredo is considered one of the most talented guitar players in the world today. He was born in Franca, Brazil and began his musical endeavors at the age of four. By age twelve he has chosen the electric guitar and by age fifteen was playing in theaters and night clubs throughout Brazil. For a number of years he played in several different musical groups including the Brazilian groups Banda Gênese and Squema Seis. He went on to study classical guitar, Brazilian popular music and jazz in several different conservatories including Franca, Ribeirão Preto, and Tatuí.

Figueiredo is the winner of several important competitions including the Montreux Jazz Competition and the VISA Prize. His music is a fusion between Jazz, Bossa Nova and Classical.  He is an extraordinary fast rising star among the world's greatest jazz guitarists. His superb technique, timing and imagination have made him one of the hottest international names right now. Diego’s unique interpretations, along with his phenomenal technique and emotion, has created an explosion of adoring fans and concert goers.  He has performed in over fifty countries around the world. His discography includes twenty-three CDS, three DVDs and a book. Figueiredo has also received awards twice at the “MONTREUX JAZZ FESTIVAL” as one of the greatest guitarists in the world.
